The Zamfara chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the killing of several farmers by suspected bandits in fresh attacks on Sauna District in Talata Mafara Local Government Area and Ruwan Gora community in Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the group described the attacks as another tragic reminder of the worsening insecurity affecting rural communities in Zamfara.
The NDC called on the Federal Government and the Zamfara State Government to intensify efforts to protect lives and farmlands, warning that continued violence is disrupting farming activities and forcing residents to live in fear.
The group also urged security agencies to strengthen operations in vulnerable communities and ensure those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice.
The latest incident adds to a series of deadly bandit attacks that have continued to plague parts of Zamfara, despite ongoing security operations in the state.
