Introduction of Ayatollah A‘rafi as Jurist Member of the Guardian Council to the Leadership Council
The spokesperson of the Expediency Discernment Council announced the introduction of Ayatollah A‘rafi as a jurist member of the Guardian Council to the Leadership Council.
According to the political desk of Tasnim News Agency, Mohsen Dehnavi, spokesperson of the Expediency Discernment Council, wrote on his account on the social media platform X:
“Under Article 111 of the Constitution, until a new Leader is appointed, a temporary Leadership Council composed of the President, the Head of the Judiciary, and one of the jurists of the Guardian Council is formed.
The Expediency Discernment Council has selected Ayatollah A‘rafi as the member of this council so that leadership continues without interruption and the Assembly of Experts can, at the earliest opportunity, elect the permanent Leader.”
